New apartment

I moved to a new apartment a couple of weeks ago. The place I was staying at before is the VSO guesthouse - meant as a cheaper accommodation for VSO visitors from out of town or out of the country, and temporarily for new volunteers - so I had to leave it.

My new home is closer to work - it takes me about 15 minutes to walk there in the morning. It is also close to a shopping center (Fife Avenue Mall) and some of my favorite music venues - The Book Cafe and The Mannenberg - they have live music, poetry or comedy performances every day. The new place is also about half a block away from the President's house and there are guards with machine guns in close proximity, so it's a fairly safe area :)

I've had a bunch of cockroaches here :) but they seem to be going down in numbers the last few days, so hopefully I'll get rid of them soon... I've been using all kinds of sprays and bug killing products haha even my neighbor was giving me tips on extermination :)

Also, the water was out in all of Harare last weekend, so uhmm, I think I may have stunk a little by Sunday night :) On the flip side, I did have a very productive weekend and was able to catch up on a lot of things.
