Slight change in plans... Mozambique, then Zimbabwe

I finally have all my travel confirmed - I'm leaving today!
There's been a slight change in plans however - I will be going to Mozambique first!

My work permit for Zimbabwe is taking a really long time to get issued, so VSO is sending me and the other Zimbabwe volunteer (Kelly from Canada) to Maputo, Mozambique for a few weeks. This way, we can go through training and start adjusting to life in southern Africa. We'll be off to Zim as soon as our documents are ready!

It seems it would take almost 2 days to get there (I'll have a couple of long layovers) so if you are interested in following my trip. Here's my itinerary:

BA296
Chicago, USA - 8:40pm (11/23)
London, UK - 10:10am (11/24)

BA55
London, UK - 6:05pm (11/24)
Johannesburg, South Africa - 7:00am (11/25)

SA144
Johannesburg, South Africa - 1:50pm (11/25)
Maputo, Mozambique - 2:55pm (11/25)

Also, who knew that the official language in Mozambique is Portuguese?

P.S. If you need to get a hold of me while I'm gone, check the "Contact" section on the left sidebar of zforzimbabwe.com
